Overview

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness, affecting over 18% of U.S. adults each year.1 Anxiety disorders include intense anxiety, excessive worry, and feelings of panic and overwhelm. Anxiety disorders have several risk factors, including genetic make-up, brain chemistry, personality type, and life circumstances. While medication is available for the treatment of anxiety, treatment is improved when medication and counseling, or cognitive-behavior therapy, are used together.

Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are trained to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medication for treatment of anxiety disorders, when medically necessary.
