The Kroger Co. And Inclusion Companies Launch Wellness Your Way Festival

Singer-Songwriter Jewel Joins As Co-founder Of The Festival

(CINCINNATI, October 3, 2018) – Inclusion Companies LLC, in partnership with The Kroger Co., is proud to announce the first-ever Wellness Your Way Festival, taking place October 4-7, 2018 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Wellness Your Way platform, launched at over 2000 grocery stores by Kroger’s Health and Wellness division earlier this year, encourages people to adopt a more holistic approach to health – from their food and nutrition, to their exercise and prescriptions.

The Wellness Your Way Festival is slated to be one of the largest educational and entertainment events in the region. Attendees will enjoy three-and-a-half-days of musical performances, educational sessions and inspirational speeches. The itinerary also includes a holistic health Expo, and interactive stations showcasing new technology within the wellness space, including Kroger’s new OptUP app.

“Kroger is excited to be presenting the first Wellness Your Way Festival in America in our hometown,” said Robert Clark, Senior Vice President of Kroger Merchandising. “Our vision for Wellness Your Way is to provide customers with a one-stop source for helpful information about nutrition, medication, and lifestyle – everything they need to start living better and healthier, every day.”

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and mindfulness expert Jewel is the festival’s co-founder. Health and wellness has been a lifelong passion for Jewel, who used nutrition, mindfulness and holistic health to overcome childhood kidney issues and navigated how to go from homeless to happy, in a very demanding job as a single parent. She will share her tips and stories from her web site, JewelNeverBroken.com, which offers free mindfulness tools.

“It’s phenomenal that I’m embarking on a national health and wellness journey with Kroger to educate and elevate the importance of self-care,” said Jewel. “We get one body and one life, and I’m so inspired to share my story to help millions of others to live happier and healthier lives.”

The festival’s expert lineup includes creator of P90X, Tony Horton, endurance athlete, Brendan Brazier, American television host of Home & Family, Debbie Matenopoulos, iconic American chef Michael Symon and his wife, Liz Shanahan, and American actor and fitness specialist, Jake “Body by Jake” Steinfeld. The festival will feature musical performances from co-founder Jewel, singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, Cincinnati’s own Nick Lachey, and many more.

The festival programing is designed around four core stages of health: Know Yourself, Nutrition, Fitness, and Inspiration. In addition to the events mentioned above, the festival will feature celebrity appearances, panel discussions, workshops, group health activities such as yoga, strength and circuit training, innovation events, product demos, film screenings, and major concerts - all themed around discovering tools for a healthy lifestyle.
