Overview

An average of 26.1 million illnesses, or 8% U.S. of the population, are caused by influenza (“flu”) annually. The flu is a viral infection that spreads quickly through the air when coughing, sneezing, or talking. Individuals with the flu will routinely present with fever, cough, runny nose, chills, body aches, and sore throat. While most people that fall victim to the flu will recover with symptomatic management within 2 weeks, moderate and severe complications can arise, such as pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus or ear infection, and respiratory issues.

As part of our commitment to providing quality care to our patients, pharmacists at Kroger Health are trained to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medication for possible flu in all Idaho and Michigan pharmacies. Your Kroger Health pharmacist will review flu medication options and work with you to select an effective medication that best fits you.
